Why a League of Comedy?

What makes a league special? It’s the community. It’s how random games become meaningful seasons, how players become teammates, and how strangers in the stands become friends united by a shared passion.

Our Mission

In sports, leagues bring everyone together - players, fans, venues - creating something bigger than any individual game. That's exactly what we're building for comedy. Right now, finding shows means hunting across multiple websites, only to still not find all the live comedy options. Most up-and-coming comedians invest countless unpaid hours honing their craft, with no clear pathway to paying gigs. Venues and corporate bookers scramble last-minute, often relying on friend-of-a-friend connections to find talent. League of Comedy changes that game through a platform built specifically for comedy. We're creating the place where fans discover their perfect night out, comedians get found and paid fairly, and bookers connect with exactly the right talent for their event.

Our Journey

League of Comedy began in 2017 as an open mic in Los Angeles, founded by comedian Granison Crawford and night life operations manager Cory Eckstein. What started as a single monthly show quickly grew into multiple showcases and expanded to a Northern California tour by 2019.

When the pandemic paused live performances in 2020, we saw an opportunity to evolve. We asked ourselves: could we create something that connects everyone in the comedy ecosystem, not just for our shows, but for the entire industry?

Drawing from Granison’s experience as both a performer and booker, and Cory’s background in venue operations, we designed a platform that addresses the needs of fans, comedians, and venues alike.

Our experiences on all sides of live comedy have shaped not just what we’re building, but the values that guide us as we create the future of the comedy industry.

Our Core Values

By creating a League of Comedy, we’re not just building a platform – we’re creating a community where everyone involved in comedy can find their place and connect with others who share their passion.
